Alma Heights Christian Academy and Highlands Christian College Preparatory Join Forces
High school programs combine to provide students greatly enhanced educational experience
PACIFICA, California—March 3, 2009—Alma Heights Christian Academy (AHCA) and Highlands Christian College Preparatory (HCCP) are pleased to announce their partnership that will combine their high school programs beginning this fall.
Both high schools will join forces on the beautiful Alma Heights campus in the sunny Linda Mar area of Pacifica. Students will enjoy an extensive library, well-equipped classrooms, science lab, music facility, gymnasium and athletic fields. A new bus service will transport students from the Highlands main campus to Alma Heights.
Based on shared Christian values, AHCA and HCCP envision a new, dynamic high school with a diverse student body, solid athletic programs, and a top-notch teaching staff. The combined high schools will enable immediate expansion of the curriculum, including an improved University of California certified program, more college prep, advanced/honors and AP classes. The curriculum further incorporates a dual track system to better meet the needs and learning style of each student.
With a combined 95 years of rich history and experience, the merger of AHCA and HCCP offers students expanded academic and sports programs and a loving environment as they prepare for the rigors of college.
Jeannie Chiara of HCCP and David Gross of AHCA are excited to be working together to make the most of the excellent synergies enabled by this merger. Students on the Peninsula will have a first-rate, Christian high school experience. Jeannie and David are already taking the necessary steps to ensure each student makes a smooth transition into the new WASC and ACSI accredited high school.
We invite families to join with AHCA and HCCP in this exciting new endeavor.
