Students going to Mexico

Posted February 5, 2010

This spring break, we will be serving at an orphanage in Mexico called Rancho De Sus Niños.

It was started in 1987 with a vision to minister to the homeless children of Mexico. Today, RDSN ministers to over 500 children in the orphanage, family daycare center, Christian school, Bible college, youth center, and hospice facility.

Students from Alma Heights Christian have helped out for several years with this ministry, and we’re going back again this April.

There are an estimated 3 million people living in the Tijuana area. They have come to find work in the factories which pay an average of $8 per day. Many families face pressure so great that fathers give up and abandon their families.

RDSN provides support for these families with their programs and many of these families end up finding hope because of this ministry.

We get to partner with this ministry in a variety of ways, such as construction, children’s ministry, and various kinds of evangelism.

Each student and leader needs to raise enough funds for travel expenses as well as the means necessary to bless RDSN with construction materials and operating costs while we’re there.
