  • What do you love about teaching?

I love seeing real life change happen in my students. It is wonderful to see our living God be active in my students' lives. I also love inspiring my students to try something new or understand a new concept for the first time. It is a joy to have influence on so many children and I count it a blessing that God has gifted me to affect our future.

What do you enjoy most about being at AHC?

I love teaching at AHC because I really get to know my students and their families. It is wonderful to teach a variety of students and to have so many parents actively involved in their children's education. I also love the comraderie of the staff.

How did you end up becoming a teacher?

I have always wanted to be a teacher. I knew this was my professional calling when I was young.

How do you invest in the lives of young people outside of class?

I try to make time to listen and care for my students regardless of when or where I see them. As a pastor's wife at Coastside Community Church, I find many opportunities to share life with young people.
