What do you love about teaching?
It's got to be the students. It's totally cool when one of your former students gets her picture taken greeting Sarah Palin at SFO... that is priceless! I would love to see more of our students take an active role in shaping the world we live in. Maybe they could fix some of the problems in which we find ourselves today.
What do you enjoy most about being at AHC?
Friendly relaxed atmosphere of mutual respect among students and staff, while not forgetting the mission that brings us together as a community in Christ.
How did you end up becoming a teacher?
It was divine appointment! I met the president of a Baptist College in Arizona at a conference in the Disneyland Hotel in July 2000. A month later I was hired to teach at Calvary Christian School in Hollister. And the rest, as they say... is history.
How do you invest in the lives of young people outside of class?
I enjoy mentoring and counseling young people. I also make myself available to help in every way I can. Probably the investment of my time in the lives of others has blessed me tremendously as well.
