We’ve made a short video that explains what the Growing Through Service campaign is, how to fill out the packet, and why we are doing this campaign.

We hope to achieve three important things through our Growing Through Service Campaign. First, we want all of our students to have a great experience serving others. Second, we want to make new connections and spread the word about our school. Third, we want to have a significant capital fundraising campaign that raises $70,000 to support our teachers and improve our campus.

Our students will be involved in service projects throughout the year. We will be participating in Operation Christmas Child, a Thanksgiving Turkey Drive for City Impact, Monthly Saturday Service Days with City Impact, the Food Bank, and a Joni and Friends event in the spring. During our October Growing Through Service Campaign, our Kindergarten to 4th graders will focus on serving the elderly in our community at senior centers. Our middle school students will focus on stewardship of the environment through beach cleanup, and our high school students will focus on civic and non profit partnership projects.

Please read through the packet and get involved. If all of our leaders, teachers, and families participate in this effort, we believe that we can exceed our fundraising goals and significantly improve our school.  Eighty of our school families have already committed to the effort.

We want to make this valuable to each family, and we think it will take each family several hours to identify and contact business associates, friends, and family who may be glad to give to our school using the materials enclosed. Each family will receive SALT hours for participating, and students will also be rewarded in various ways for doing their part.
