GO EAGLES! Athletic Booster Club

Joining the Booster Club is easy! Just respond to the Booster Club Form and your Smart Tuition account will be billed. GO EAGLES!

The purpose of the Booster Club is to support the Eagles Athletics, as well as to involve parents in the fun of high school sports. The Booster Club is composed of parents, faculty, alumni and friends. The money raised from membership and Booster sponsored events is used to purchase uniforms, equipment and capital projects above and beyond what the school budget provides. Your membership also includes an invitation to attend Booster Club meetings, where there will be special guest speakers as well as Alma Heights Christian coaches to update us on the various sports seasons.

Individual Game Prices for Regular Home Games (Basketball, Volleyball and Football):

$5 Adult, $3 Students with out ID card, $1 Student with ID card, Free Preschool

By joining the Booster Club games will cost less then $1 per game.

High School Football is Kicking Off

Join us for an exciting kick off to the first ever football team at Alma Heights Christian! Our first away game is against Woodside Priory Saturday, September 11 @ 1pm. Then we will play the following week against Crystal Springs Uplands at home for our Inaugural game on Saturday, September 18 @ 1pm. The Inaugural game will offer a lot of excitement with games and prizes.

Don’t forget to join the Booster Club for FREE admission to all regular season sporting events. Those who are not Booster Club members will have to pay at the gate. All Booster Club Members will even receive a FREE hot dog, chips, and soda at the Inaugural game. GO EAGLES!

Fall Retreat Important Details

AHC Retreat September 14-17 at Mount Hermon plus
Wheatstone Conference January 3-5

We’re looking forward to a great High School Retreat this Fall plus a dynamic three day Wheatstone Conference to launch the second semester in January! Both of these weeks provide students a break from their regular courses. More importantly, they offer learning experiences focused on living full and meaningful lives that bring glory to God and blessing to His world. Edward Paz will be our retreat teacher, and he has already been working with our Student Council and Ministry Class to plan topics. The Theme for this year is “The Power of Words.”

Cost

Student fees have already covered most of the costs for these weeks, and we are able to reduce the additional program and transportation fees to only $100 dollars this year. It will be billed through Smart Tuition in four segments from October through January. PSP students are encouraged to participate in both of these weeks for just $350. Costs have been kept to a minimum through customized programming and low transportation costs. We are grateful for our partnership with Highlands and especially to Leigh Bishop, Transportation Director, for arranging bus transportation.

Activity Sign Ups

Mount Hermon offers a wide range of recreational activities for students.  Our recreation time will be from 2 PM – 5 PM on Tuesday through Thursday.   Swimming, Sand Pit Volleyball, and the Game Room will be available throughout these times each day at no additional cost and without a sign up process.

The follow activities are based on sign ups and are only billed to participants.  Athletes will have practice from 4 PM to 5:30, and will be able to participate in these activities before practice.

You will receive an email form for signing up for these activities.

Sign ups will indicate a commitment to participate, and you will be billed accordingly.   Activities will be cancelled if there are insufficient sign ups.   Please respond promptly so that we can work with Mount Hermon for activities staffing.   The Redwood Canopy tour is limited to 8 people/session, so the maximum number of participants will be 16.

Permission forms will be sent home on Tuesday for all students. These must be returned for students to participate in the camp.

Emergency forms and and other summer packet forms are also mandatory, and some families still need to complete these. These forms are available at http://almaheights.org/2010/07/hs-fall-2010-11-back-to-school-packet/. You can complete these by appointment on a computer at school, if necessary.

Join us for a fun and exciting opportunity to help out the Athletic Department and earn SALT hours! We have several opportunities available that can meet everybody’s interest from cooking meals to video taping to collecting admission. Below is a list of positions available. We would love your help!

SALT Opportunity

We are in need of a few parents to help with High School lunch supervision on Wednesdays from 12:45 – 1:45PM.  Please contact Mrs. Lim at mlim@almaheights.org, if you are available to help.

10% Back to Schools with eScrip

Shop now at Safeway with your Club Card and buy certain items marked with the school bus. AHC will get 10% of the total you spent on those items.  Be on the look out in the store for those participating items.  This 10% back to schools program runs through September 14th.
